होर्मुज जलडमरूमध्यमा पानीजहाजमाथि आक्रमणका घटना भइरहे पनि इरानबाहेक मध्यपूर्वबाट हुने कच्चा तेलको निर्यातमा उल्लेख्य वृद्धि भएको छ। समुद्री यातायात अनुगमन गर्ने संस्था केप्लरका अनुसार पछिल्ला केही दिनमा मध्यपूर्वबाट दैनिक एक करोड ८० लाख ब्यारेलभन्दा बढी कच्चा तेल निर्यात भएको छ। सेप्टेम्बरमा इरानबाहेक मध्यपूर्वबाट औसत दैनिक कम्तीमा एक करोड ६५ लाख ब्यारेल कच्चा तेल निर्यात भएको थियो।
