शिक्षा तथा खेलकुद मन्त्री सस्मिता पोखरेलले राष्ट्रिय विधि विज्ञान प्रयोगशालालाई अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय मापदण्ड अनुसार बनाउन सरकारले आवश्यक कानुन निर्माण गरिरहेको बताउनुभएको छ। सिंहदरबारमा बिहीबार आयोजित प्रतिनिधि सभाको शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य तथा सूचना प्रविधि समितिको बैठकमा बोल्दै उहाँले नयाँ विधेयकमा विज्ञहरूको सुझाव आवश्यक रहेको उल्लेख गर्नुभयो। यस प्रस्तावित कानुनले नेपालको फरेन्सिक विज्ञान सेवाको विश्वसनीयता र कार्यक्षमता अभिवृद्धि गर्ने लक्ष्य राखेको छ।
