नेपाली कांग्रेसको १५औँ महाधिवेशनमा खुला कोटाबाट रामहरि खतिवडा र अजयबाबु शिवाकोटी सहमहामन्त्रीमा निर्वाचित भएका छन्। खतिवडाले २,९१० र शिवाकोटीले २,१७३ मत प्राप्त गरे। आदिवासी जनजाति कोटाबाट बहादुरसिंह लामाले ३,२४५ मतसहित सहमहामन्त्री पद जिते भने उनका निकटतम प्रतिद्वन्द्वी ओमबहादुर घर्ती मगरले १,४४६ मत पाए। दलित कोटाबाट प्रकाश रसाइली स्नेही सहमहामन्त्रीमा निर्वाचित भए। मतगणना पार्टीको केन्द्रीय कार्यालय सानेपामा सम्पन्न भए पनि केन्द्रीय निर्वाचन समितिले औपचारिक रूपमा अन्तिम परिणाम घोषणा गर्न बाँकी थियो।
