भोटेकोशी बाढीमा ९०३ जनाको मृत्यु, हजारौँ बेपत्ता र १० हजारको उद्धार

भोटेकोशी नदीमा आएको विनाशकारी बाढीका कारण ९०३ जनाको मृत्यु भएको छ भने ३९ देशका ५९० विदेशी नागरिकसहित ४,२४७ जना अझै बेपत्ता छन्। रसुवा र नुवाकोट लगायतका प्रभावित क्षेत्रबाट सुरक्षाकर्मीले १०,४५१ जनाको उद्धार गरेका छन् भने नेपाल पर्यटन बोर्डले अलपत्र परेका पर्यटकहरूको जानकारीका लागि सूचना केन्द्र स्थापना गरेको छ। नेपाल सरकारले खोज तथा उद्धार कार्यका लागि अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सहयोगको अपिल गरेको छ र बेपत्ताहरूको पहिचानका लागि नेपाल प्रहरीले डीएनए नमुना संकलन सुरु गरेको छ।

    रसुवाको भोटेकोशी नदीमा बुधबार बिहान आएको बाढीका कारण ३४१ विदेशी र ६२ नेपाली गरी कुल ४०३ पर्यटक बेपत्ता भएका छन्। नेपाल पर्यटन बोर्डका निमित्त कार्यकारी प्रमुख हिक्मत सिंह ऐरका अनुसार बेपत्ता हुनेहरूमा २०३ पुरुष र २०० महिला रहेका छन्। बाढी आउँदा ती पर्यटकहरू गोसाइँकुण्ड र कैलाश क्षेत्रतर्फ गइरहेको बताइएको छ।

    बुधबार भोटेकोशी र त्रिशूली नदीमा आएको भीषण बाढीका कारण ५१७ विदेशी पर्यटक र १२७ नेपाली गरी कुल ६४४ जना बेपत्ता भएका छन्। नेपाल पर्यटन बोर्डका अनुसार बेपत्ता हुने विदेशीहरूमा सबैभन्दा बढी १७८ जना भारतीय नागरिक रहेका छन् र यस बाढीले रसुवा, नुवाकोट, धादिङ र गोरखा जिल्लालाई प्रभावित पारेको छ। यसैबीच, नेपाली सेनाले टिमुरेबाट ८ जना विदेशीसहित १२३ जनाको सफल उद्धार गरेको छ भने बेपत्ताहरूको खोजी कार्य जारी रहेको छ।

    रसुवाको भोटेकोशी र त्रिशूली नदीमा आएको विनाशकारी बाढीपछि ६४४ विदेशी नागरिकसहित कुल २,३८१ जना बेपत्ता भएका छन्। बेपत्ता हुने विदेशीहरूमा १७८ भारतीय, ६५ अमेरिकी र करिब १०० चिनियाँ नागरिक रहेका छन् भने विदेशबाट घुम्न आएका १२७ नेपाली पनि सम्पर्कविहीन छन्। अधिकारीहरूका अनुसार आठ जिल्लामा ४६९ जनाको मृत्यु भएको पुष्टि भएको छ भने उद्धार टोलीले टिमुरे र भोटेकोशी क्षेत्रबाट २७ विदेशी पर्यटकको सफल उद्धार गरेको छ।
