नेपाल र भारतबीचको द्विपक्षीय व्यापारका लागि नयाँ ट्रान्जिट कोरिडोर स्थापना गर्दै कोलकाता बन्दरगाहबाट पूर्वी नेपालको विराटनगर भन्सार यार्डसम्म पहिलो पटक सिधै रेल कार्गो सेवा शुक्रबारदेखि सुरु भएको छ। कोलकाताका लागि नेपाली महावाणिज्यदूत झक्कप्रसाद आचार्य र भारतीय अधिकारीहरूले संयुक्त रूपमा पहिलो मालबाहक रेलको उद्घाटन गरेका थिए। यस सेवाले नेपाल र भारतबीचको व्यापारिक ढुवानी लागत र समय उल्लेख्य रूपमा घटाउने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ।
