इरानको इस्लामिक रिभोलुसनरी गार्ड कप्र्स (आईआरजीसी) ले पश्चिम एसियामा अमेरिकी हस्तक्षेपको कारण देखाउँदै हर्मुज जलडमरूमध्य अनिश्चितकालका लागि बन्द गर्ने घोषणा गरेको छ। रणनीतिक रूपमा महत्त्वपूर्ण यो जलमार्ग बन्द भएपछि संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिकाले हवाई आक्रमण सुरु गरेको छ। दुई देशबीचको बढ्दो तनावले विश्वव्यापी ऊर्जा आपूर्ति र ढुवानी मार्गमा गम्भीर संकट निम्त्याउने खतरा बढेको छ।
रणनीतिक रूपमा महत्त्वपूर्ण हर्मुज जलडमरूमध्य बन्द गर्ने इरानको घोषणापछि अमेरिका र इरानबीच मिसाइल र ड्रोन आक्रमण सुरु भएको छ। इरानको इस्लामिक रिभोलुसनरी गार्ड कर्प्सले अमेरिकी एमक्यू-१ ड्रोन खसालेको र जोर्डनस्थित अमेरिकी सैन्य आधार शिविरमा आक्रमण गरेको दाबी गरेको छ। यसैबीच, अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्पले इरानी जहाजहरूलाई लक्षित गर्दै नौसैनिक नाकाबन्दीको घोषणा गर्नुभएको छ भने संयुक्त अरब इमिरेट्सले तेल ट्याङ्करहरूमाथि भएको आक्रमणको निन्दा गरेको छ।
