काठमाडौं महानगरपालिकाले असनको ऐतिहासिक बस्तीको मौलिकता संरक्षण गर्न र परम्परागत व्यापार प्रवर्द्धन गर्न १८ अप्रिलदेखि 'सवारीमुक्त असन' कार्यक्रम सुरु गरेको छ। हरेक शनिबार कमलाच्छी चोकदेखि असनसम्मको क्षेत्रमा सवारी साधन प्रवेशमा रोक लगाइनेछ। कार्यवाहक मेयर सुनिता डंगोलले यो कार्यक्रम 'जीवन्त र समृद्ध असन' अभियानअन्तर्गत सञ्चालन हुने जानकारी दिएकी छन्।

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) launched the 'Vehicle-Free Asan' programme on April 18 to preserve the historic urban settlement of Asan. Every Saturday, the area from Kamalachhi Chowk to Asan will be closed to vehicles. Acting Mayor Sunita Dangol announced the initiative, which also aims to promote traditional trade under the broader 'Vibrant and Prosperous Asan' programme.
