संसदीय सुनुवाइ समितिले प्रस्तावित प्रमुख निर्वाचन आयुक्त मनबहादुर कार्कीको मनोनयनका सम्बन्धमा छलफल गरेको छ। सुनुवाइका क्रममा कार्कीले नेपालको निर्वाचन प्रणालीमा व्यापक सुधार गर्ने उद्देश्यका साथ आफ्नो कार्ययोजना प्रस्तुत गर्नुभयो। समितिले कार्कीको विरुद्धमा उजुरी दिने भेषराज लुइँटेलसँग पनि छलफल गरेको थियो। निर्वाचन आयोगको प्रमुख पदमा नियुक्त हुनुअघि यो संसदीय सुनुवाइको प्रक्रिया अनिवार्य मानिन्छ।
