नेपाल रेडक्रस सोसाइटीले राजनीतिक दल वा तिनका भ्रातृ संगठनहरूमा सक्रिय भूमिकामा रहेका आफ्ना पदाधिकारी तथा सदस्यहरूलाई पदबाट राजीनामा दिन आग्रह गरेको छ। संस्थाको विधानले राजनीतिक दल वा सरकारी निकायमा निर्वाचित वा मनोनित व्यक्तिहरूलाई रेडक्रसको कुनै पनि समिति वा उपसमितिमा बस्न रोक लगाएको उल्लेख गर्दै सार्वजनिक सूचना जारी गरिएको हो। मानवीय सेवामा तटस्थता कायम राख्न यो कदम चालिएको संस्थाले जनाएको छ। यो निर्देशन देशभरका सबै तहका स्वयंसेवक र कर्मचारीहरूमा लागू हुनेछ।
