गोरखा जिल्लामा विगत दुई महिनादेखि फैलिएको अफ्रिकन स्वाइन फिभरका कारण २५० भन्दा बढी बंगुर मरेका छन्। भेटेरिनरी अस्पताल तथा पशु सेवा विज्ञ केन्द्रका अनुसार जिल्लाका विभिन्न स्थानीय तहका फार्महरूमा यो रोगको संक्रमण देखिएको छ। केन्द्रका प्रमुख अनन्त कोइरालाका अनुसार गोरखा नगरपालिका-६ र मान्द्रेढुङ्गाका किसानहरूले ठूलो संख्यामा पशुधन गुमाएका छन्। संक्रमण फैलिने क्रम जारी रहेकाले स्थानीय अधिकारीहरूले निगरानी बढाएका छन्।
