खानी तथा भूगर्भ विभागले दैलेखमा पेट्रोलियम पदार्थको व्यावसायिक उत्पादनका लागि चीनको चाइना जियोलोजिकल सर्भेसँग दोस्रो चरणको सम्झौता गर्ने तयारी सुरु गरेको छ। यो सम्झौताले अन्वेषणको चरणबाट अघि बढेर पेट्रोलियम स्रोतको व्यावसायिक उत्खननलाई सहज बनाउने लक्ष्य राखेको छ। पेट्रोलियम अन्वेषण परियोजनाका अनुसार यस साझेदारीलाई अन्तिम रूप दिन हाल आन्तरिक तयारी भइरहेको छ। यो सहकार्य नेपालको ऊर्जा आत्मनिर्भरता र पूर्वाधार विकासको दिशामा एक महत्त्वपूर्ण कदम मानिएको छ।
