नेपाल सरकारले शनिबार काठमाडौं उपत्यकाका नदी किनारका अतिक्रमित बस्ती हटाउन ठूलो अभियान सुरु गर्यो, जसमा बागमती नदी किनारको थापाथली, गैरीगाउँ, सिनामंगल र मनोहरा नदी किनारको लोकन्थलीमा संयुक्त सुरक्षा टोली परिचालन गरियो। विस्थापित परिवारहरूको त्रिपुरेश्वरस्थित दशरथ रंगशालामा छानबिन गरी केही परिवारलाई कीर्तिपुर र नागार्जुनमा स्थानान्तरण गरियो। सर्वोच्च अदालतमा बेदखलविरुद्ध रिट दायर भएको छ र नेकपा एमालेले मानवअधिकारको सम्मान गर्न आग्रह गर्दै विरोध जनाएको छ।
The Nepali government on Saturday launched a large-scale eviction drive to clear squatter settlements along riverbanks in the Kathmandu Valley, beginning with Thapathali along the Bagmati River and extending to Gairigaun, Sinamangal, and Lokanthali near the Manohara River.
